FAQ
What is AFUGAZI?
AFUGAZI is a plug-in and sound kit brand for producers. Right now it sells SUPPRESSOR, a dynamic resonance suppressor, FIX YOUR DRUMS, a drum bus plug-in, and SKELETON, a drum sound kit.
What is FIX YOUR DRUMS?
FIX YOUR DRUMS is a drum bus plug-in: 10 plug-ins in 1, the only plug-in you need for fatter drums. It does the work of a ten-step drum bus chain in one window. It has one glue control per drum group (kick, snare, hats), punch for more or less attack, solo to hear one drum, and delta to hear only what the glue takes. It costs 19.99 USD, one time, with no subscription. > fix your drums
Which formats and systems does FIX YOUR DRUMS run on?
On macOS it comes as VST3 and AU. On Windows it comes as VST3. It does not come as AAX, so it does not load in Pro Tools.
What is SUPPRESSOR?
SUPPRESSOR is a dynamic resonance suppressor for vocals and mixes, the first plug-in in the AFUGAZI premium line. It only cuts while the signal is harsh, then it lets go. It is a one-time purchase with no subscription. > suppressor
Which formats and systems does SUPPRESSOR run on?
On macOS it comes as VST3 and AU. On Windows it comes as VST3. It does not come as AAX, so it does not load in Pro Tools.
Can I try SUPPRESSOR first?
There is no trial for SUPPRESSOR. Hear it on a hi-hat on its page first: on and bypass. All sales are final.
Which DAWs work with FIX YOUR DRUMS?
Any DAW that loads VST3 or AU plug-ins, for example Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro (AU), Studio One, Reaper, Bitwig Studio and Cubase.
How does the licence key work?
FIX YOUR DRUMS's key shows on the thank-you page after you buy and comes by email together with both downloads. Open FIX YOUR DRUMS in your DAW, press settings and paste the key. You can activate it on up to three computers that you own and use it on one at a time. There is no account and the licence does not expire. Activation needs an internet connection.
How do updates work?
FIX YOUR DRUMS checks for updates on its own and installs them itself.
What is in the SKELETON sound kit?
SKELETON has 203 royalty-free sounds as WAV files: 21 808s, 23 bass, 11 drum loops, 24 fx, 27 hats, 19 kicks, 24 one shots, 21 perc and 33 snares and claps. They are stereo WAV files at 48 kHz, 32-bit float, so they load in any DAW, and every loop is named with its tempo (90 to 142 BPM). It costs 29.99 USD and you can download it two times. > skeleton
Can I use SKELETON in music I sell?
Yes. Every sound is 100% royalty free: use it in beats, songs and full releases, sell or lease beats made with it, and keep everything you earn, with no credit required. You may not resell or share the sounds themselves, or use them to train AI models. The full terms are in the sound kit licence. > sound kit licence
What happens after I pay?
FIX YOUR DRUMS and SUPPRESSOR: your licence key shows on the next page right away, and it comes by email together with the mac and windows installers. SKELETON: the download is on the next page right away, a download link comes by email too, and you can download the kit two times.
Can I get my money back?
No. All sales are final: SUPPRESSOR, FIX YOUR DRUMS, SKELETON and the bundle. Hear them on their pages before you buy, and try FIX YOUR DRUMS free for 14 days. If a file is broken or missing, or the plug-in does not work as described on your system, write to support@afugazi.com and we fix it. > refunds page
Can I try FIX YOUR DRUMS first?
Yes, free for 14 days. Press "try free" on the FIX YOUR DRUMS page and leave your email: the mac and windows installers come by email. The trial is the full plug-in for 14 days from the first time you open it, and its header shows the days left. After that it goes to bypass until you add a licence key. A key unlocks it at once, and reinstalling does not start the 14 days again. Buying gives you the same licence as always: three computers, no expiry.
Can I buy SKELETON and FIX YOUR DRUMS together?
Yes. The bundle is 39.99 USD instead of 49.98 USD: the kit downloads on the next page and the plug-in key comes on the same page and by email.
Who handles payment and refunds?
Paddle.com is the merchant of record for every purchase, so payment, receipts and refunds go through Paddle. The details are on the refunds page. > refunds page
